Laura Juanes Micas is a global governance, policy, and regulatory executive with over two decades of experience helping organizations navigate risk, compliance, privacy, AI governance, and online human rights. She has held executive leadership roles at some of the world’s most recognized global brands—including Yahoo!, Meta, and Restaurant Brands International—where she built and led global privacy, policy, compliance and legal functions and strategies.

A fluent speaker of English, Spanish and Portuguese, Laura supports clients with matters globally, with special emphasis on those operating in Miami, through the Caribbean, and through Central and Latin America.

A passionate advocate for ethical governance and innovation, Laura works to support organizations through regulatory transformation and responsible innovation. She is skilled in addressing board-level concerns across digital governance, regulatory alignment, AI risk, and crisis response. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Caixabank Payments and Consumer, a leading consumer finance firm in Spain and Portugal, and on the Advisory Council of eaigg.org, a Palo Alto–based nonprofit advancing ethical AI.

Laura has shaped global conversations on technology and governance through contributions to major forums including the G-20, the World Economic Forum, the Organization of American States, and the Global Privacy Assembly. Recognized in 2025 by Todojuristas.com as one of the 100 Women Leaders in the Legal Sector, she holds a law degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and an LL.M. from the University of Miami School of Law.
